NEVADA PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENTS

While it is true that divorce rates have decreased in Nevada, what is also interesting is that the rate of marriages have decreased greater than the decrease in divorces. Moreover, since 1996, remarriages have also decreased. In 1970, at least one spouse who married had been previously married, while in 1990, 46% of marriages involved a spouse who had been previously married. Of course the more divorces there are, the more “remarrying” there will be. Historically, one-half of divorced men remarry within five years of a divorce and the percentage for women is slightly lower.
Marriage patterns continue to change in our country. One of the ways these changes are reflected is in the increasing use of premarital (prenuptial) agreements. Prenuptial agreements are not only for the rich and can often benefit both parties entering into a marriage. A properly prepared prenuptial agreement has an excellent chance of being enforced in Nevada.
The Las Vegas Family Law Lawyers at the PecosLawGroup.com have significant experience preparing enforceable prenuptial agreements.
