At Pecos Law Group we have found that the summer tends to be a time when fewer people are inclined to file for divorce. Maybe it is because children are home from school or because there are existing vacation plans, but we seem to file less new divorces during the summer with numbers picking up at the start of the new school year. Apparently, however, the opposite is true for celebrities. This summer has seen as spate of celebrity divorces including Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck and Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock. The reason for the rash of celebrity divorces timed during the summer may be the same reason why non-celebrities tend to not get divorced during the summer: People are just too busy to pay attention. Celebrities, or more likely their publicists, know that people are too busy with children out of school and vacation plans to bother to pay as much attention to or care about what celebrities are doing with their personal lives.
